A fully pieced stole in green or purple, O Clap Your Hands is based on the quilt pattern called Shattered. Despite the name, this pattern seems to me to express joy and feels more like confetti falling down than broken-ness. That said the combination of joy and brokenness can be felt in the pattern.
O Clap Your Hands is sewn to order, so you can order the shorter, or the longer, or a custom length. Just measure from the nape (center back) of your neck to where you want the hem to fall, and your stole will be made to that length.
Available in green and purple – $250. – Order
Available in both colors from dark to light or from light to dark.
O Clap Your Hands is a choral anthem by Ralph Vaughn Williams. A setting of Psalm 47, the anthem in its full expression includes brass and is a great hymn of praise.
The lyrics are:
O clap your hands, all ye people;
shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
For the Lord most high is terrible.
He is a great King over all the earth.
God is gone up with a shout,
the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God; sing praises.
Sing praises to our King; sing praises.
For God is the King of all the earth.
Sing ye praises with understanding.
God reigneth over the heathen.
God sitteth upon the throne of His holiness.
Sing praises unto our King. Sing praises.
And you can listen to the anthem here.
