Scapulars are a Christian garment similar to a stole, but descending from both shoulders. They come out of monastic tradition where they are devotional garments. However, increasingly protestant clergy are using scapulars as an alternative to stoles. In some traditions they are used by lay leaders as well.
Scapulars are generally worn longer than stoles, and only one length is available for my pre-made scapulars. Of course custom orders can be of any length.
