Uyai mose

Inspired by beautiful fabrics from Africa, and dedicated to my colleagues and professors at Howard University School of Divinity, this is the first of my Africa series of stoles.  These use African or African-inspired textiles from Tess World Designs .  I plan to have a whole series of African inspired stoles, similar in breakdown but using a variety of kinte cloth, mudcloth, and other fascinating African cloth.  The yokes of these will reflect traditional liturgical colors, so we will have white, red, green, blue, and purple stoles, but they will also reflect the diversity of Africa.

The Uyai mose stole is made with an Adinkra print from Ghana.  This fabric is a commercial rework, not a hand printed fabric.

Africa series stoles are $80.  $5 of the purchase price is donated to the Howard University School of Divinity. Order.
